OCR: COMPOSITION Camera users are always being told to make sure the subject is in the centre of the viewfinder. This helps with the autofocus on modern cameras and improves some peoples chances of not cutting heads/feet off ! 1 saying it is rarely good composition am now to put the main subject in the centre of the picture ! Make sure you don't have lamposts coming out of heads too Once you know how to use the camera correctly, the way to great pictures is to spend a little time on composition. One of the main rules used by old master painters was the 'rule of thirds'. This is, briefly, that the main subject should be placed on one of the thirds of any picture format, as the example above. You will find that this usually works. Other simple rules in are to not have the horizon right across the middle of a picture and, in the case of portraits, to have the eyes above the picture centre line shots. Also keep bright highlights away from the edge of a picture. for head MENU NEXT PREY COMP TEXT HOLS SIL
